CermeTech is focused on the strategic supply of polycarbosilane precursor materials for the fabrication of silicon-carbide (SiC) structures and components serving the aerospace, nuclear, advanced electronics, and defense industries.
Founded in 2022 with funding from the Defense Logistics Agency, CermeTech, in partnership with an established manufacturing partner, operates a scalable production capability specializing in polycarbosilane-based SiC precursors.
CermeTech is managed by an experienced team of production specialists and business professionals with expertise in process development, manufacturing scale-up, and program execution for high-reliability applications.
John D Neukirchen, CEO - John has over 30 years of business and project management experience. Specializing in advanced thermal and corrosion protection technologies, Mr. Neukirchen has served as program director and technical liaison on a number of successful, high-profile projects for clients such as the Defense Logistics Agency, Office of Naval Research, US Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard, Westinghouse Hanford, and more. Mr. Neukirchen served in the US Navy as an AX Technician - VP-1, ASW Squadron. Mr. Neukirchen acts as the business lead, managing timelines, budgets, general operations, and customer relations. John (Jack) J Neukirchen – Vice President of Operations - Jack is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Washington in Law, Economics, and Public Policy with excellent skills in Project Management, Business Management, and Network Administration. His role is to oversee the coordination of daily operations, verifying milestone progression syncs with project management timelines, and communicating with all participants to aid in troubleshooting and resolving active problems. Nick Farkas – Vice President of Technology - Nick has managed over twenty research programs, including the development of nanostructured aluminum and magnesium composites for the Department of Defense, as well as the development of Fluidized Bed Chemical Vapor Deposition processes for cladding nuclear fuels for the Department of Energy and Idaho National Laboratories. Mr. Farkas brings a strong background in materials science and a proven history of managing fast cycle product development to the program. NickFarkas@cermetech.com
